So I do… I would certainly love to read this book… now! So let see if I asked for it in time. In bonus, here is Andy’s clip…

So the adress is the adress: H2H InterActif, 9412 boul.du Golf, Montreal, Qc, H1J3A1.

Interactive Advertising – The first step to a new conversation

Posted by Alexandre Hénault on nov 9, 2008 in Conversation

So I was thinking… we have been been thinking, talking, reading, writing about conversation for a while now. But, can we have a conversation through advertising? The more I read about it, the least I see it happening. This is pretty disturbing when your; my business (h2hinteractif.com) depends on advertising. Not that I am trying to find an excuse for not working on my blog at all in the past 15 months, but the lack of understanding and the fear of putting my vision out there sort of blocked any inspiration. But I have (thanks to Michelle Blanc for helping me) found my interest again. That being said, as I am defining my thoughts listening to Jaffe Juice, Mitch Joel and others, some things were still bothering me – advertising and conversation cannot go together. I could not get my head around this idea.

I strongly believe in all this conversation concept but before we get to a conversation, one needs to make contact. As I have written in the book Age of conversation 2 – Shooting at the Stars; in order to have a conversation you need somebody to listen. Even if I don’t believe that you can have a conversation through advertising, a good piece of interactive advertising is certainly a first step to it.

My next posts will be around this concept of Interactive Advertising as a networking to tool for corporations. If you happen to have great exemples to illustrate the point, please, let us know.

Looking For Conversation Tools; Can You Help?

Posted by Alexandre Hénault on mai 19, 2008 in Conversation

I am looking for web conversation tools. Well, to be specific, I am looking for a list of tools that would help a business to listen to his clients or the global conversation; if there is such thing as global conversation. as you will see in my text – Shooting at the Stars that will be part of the second edition of the Age of Conversation, I really wonder if there could be such thing as a global conversation.

Any ways, I would really  like if you could help me build that list. I will share it with many.

True Conversation

Posted by Alexandre Hénault on mai 14, 2008 in Non classé

As I am sitting in this conference from one the most influencial CEO in Quebec, I want to comment on what he just said. As he is speaking about web 2.0, he mentionnes that he wants to have a true conversation. I believe this word is used in a hypprocrite fashion. Everybody wants to have a conversation. But, everybody wants this conversation to be about himself. This means a pretty big noisy and chaotic multimonologue environment.

I think we all need a good definition as permanent reminder. We tend to mixe up conversation & monologue.

« A conversation is communication by two or more people, or by ones self. Conversations are the ideal form of communication in some respects, since they allow people with different views of a topic to learn from each other. A speech, on the other hand, is an oral presentation by one person directed at a group.  »

Posted by Alexandre Hénault on mar 25, 2008 in Conversation

So I have been selected to write a part The Age of Conversation 2008. That means I have to get back to writing on a regular basis. But first, here is my share in promoting the Bum Rush day on the 29th. This Saturday!

Here is what Drew at Drew’s marketing minute is proposing:

« We have finally overcome the litany of issues plaguing the retail distribution of The Age of Conversation –and are now planning an Age of Conversation Bum Rush. That’s right, we want to bring this ground-breaking work to a wider audience and have now made it available on Amazon, Barnes and Noble and other quality retail book selling sites.

But wait! Don’t rush out just yet to purchase your copy. Hold off until March 29. Here’s why … Chris Wilson has set out a plan of action designed to push the Age of Conversation up the best seller charts. Here’s how it works …
